Religious Weddings in Zante - Weddings in Zakynthos
Catholic Weddings
Catholic weddings are conducted by the English speaking priest of the C atholic church in St Marks Square in the main town of Zakynthos. The church is situated just two minutes from Solomos Square and the seafront which provide beautiful backgrounds for your wedding photographs.
The ceremony lasts about an hour and follows the same format as a Catholic wedding in your home country so you will need to bring candles to be lighted at the beginning of the ceremony, choose who will read the bible readings, and decide what music you would like to be played.
We have wedding music available on CD which is perfect for your ceremony, or you could bring your own music have your own friends or family play the guitar, or you could even ask the priest to bring the choir from Patra on the mainland
Weddings usually take place on Sundays between mid June to mid September and weekdays for the rest of the season. Dates can be booked on request.

Baptist Church
Religious wedding ceremonies or blessings can be conducted on any day of the week except Wednesday by the English speaking Minister of the local Baptist Church and can take place at any of the outside locations.
Takis the Baptist Minister is a very nice and down to earth man who will make you feel at ease immediately with his sincerity and friendliness. He likes to meet with you beforehand in an informal atmosphere over a drink in order to get to know you a little and to be sure you are serious about entering into the marriage. Alexandra your wedding co-ordinator will be with you at this meeting to make sure you feel as at ease as possible. He also likes to run through a small wedding rehearsal with you discussing how heavy or light you want the religious side of the ceremony and you may also choose your own vows and/or readings.
The ceremony lasts from 20 minutes to half an hour depending on what inclusions you decide upon. If you wish we can arrange for a live singer to sing wedding songs of your choice for a small extra charge.
We can arrange for your wedding ceremony to be conducted in any of the locations shown for the civil ceremony weddings or in a location of your choice in any area of the island.
