How to Get Here
One may travel to Zakynthos either by Plane direct from abraod during the summer months
May - October or during the winter months by a connecting flight from Athens or by road and ferry crossing from the port of Killini.
By Plane
Athens Airport 'Eleftherios Venizelos' has daily all year round flight with Olympic Airways and 45 minutes to Zakynthos, you may check the schedule on the Olympic Airways website below.
Also during the tourist period (April-October), Zakynthos has a direct service with many European cities with international chartered flights, a list of several are also below. The airport in Zakynthos is approx.
4 kms from Zakynthos Town and the resorts of Argasi, Kalamaki and Lagana, you may choose either to hire a car from the airport or to get a taxi to the location where you are staying.
By Boat
A ferry service connects the island with the port of Killini which is on the West coast of the Peloponnesse, the sea voyage lasts approx. one hour. The service during the winter months runs 5 times per day and during the summer months is upto 8 times per day.
During the summer months only there is also a ferry connection from Zakynthos to Kefalonia from the port of Agios Nicolas at the North of the island and also from Zakynthos Harbour direct to Italy during the months of July & August.
By Bus
KTEL the Greek national bus service provides services from the main Zakynthos Bus Station together with the ferry service mentioned above to Patra, Athens & Thessalonica several times during the day, with the ferry crossing the bus service takes approx. 6 hours to get to Athens.
