We decided to buy a property in Zante after spending a lovely holiday there in May 06. We browsed several properties on the Internet and came across a beautiful development being constructed by Island Properties in The Sun an Irish based company in conjunction with Zanteconnect a Greek based company.
You hear a lot of horror stories re people buying abroad and I was naturally very cautious, we must have asked Tony and Lisa hundreds of questions, which were answered promptly and professionally, and to our satisfaction. They sent us procedures re buying a property there and gave us the number of a Greek Lawyer (who we checked out) and kept us completely up to date with the development as it evolved. We paid in stages and not until each stage was complete did we transfer our monies over. If we had any worries or concerns they answered these straight away, they updated us with construction pictures on a weekly basis, which we came to look forward to. The Development was completed in June 07 as anticipated and we went over on a holiday two weeks later.
The property is fantastic and we are 110% satisfied, Lisa came up almost on a daily basis to see if everything was ok for us, she even brought us into the bank and translated for us and took us to the lawyer etc. Anything we wanted regarding the property was done immediately. I would have no hesitation in recommending Island Properties in The Sun or Zanteconnect; they are one of the good ones. I would be pleased to answer any questions any potential investors may have as I can safely say I asked every question there is to be asked. Another bonus we expected not to rent our property the first year as it is newly constructed, but it is let out July/August 07 and I am flooded with enquires I can safely say I could have let it out three times over.

In November 2006 we decided to purchase a property in Kalamaki, Zakynthos,
Greece. It's now July 2007 and we have just returned from Kalamaki after

In March 2005 my husband and I became owners of a house in Zakynthos, Greece. Zanteconnect sent us information on a small house for sale in a mountain village on the island just after Christmas and then started the process of making this house our own.
We only spent two days on the island to complete the purchasing process as Zanteconnect had pre-arranged for us to view the property, meet with a local architect, a lawyer and sign Power of Attorney at a local Notary Office.
We found Lisa who looks after the Zanteconnect Real Estate Section very well informed on each step of the process and totally efficient and professional. Her meticulous attention to detail ensured that a return trip to the island was not necessary.
